Born October 10, 2009. People are calling our Baby Zoei, ten-ten because of her birth date. She was only 35 weeks and 5 days but she couldn’t wait to go out and meet the real world.
As a borderline premature baby, she was only 2.29 kg when she came out. She also made her mom labor for 14 hours and deliver normally. Something we both thought she could never do.

14 hours in this room is scary
I am so proud to be able to cut her umbilical cord and welcome her into our lives. Although the cord wrapped around her neck made her change color for a while. It wasn’t enough to put her into an incubator. I’m so proud, my daughter is already a fighter.

Zoei
Her birth marks a new beginning in our lives and to tell you honestly, I didn’t think I’d feel this way until I got to touch her and kiss her.
She truly is the best thing that has happened to us.

Congratulations Daddy Joel!!!
It really feels amazing to hold a newborn baby.. It feels even more amazing to hold one that is your very own. I felt so good carrying my little nephew when he was born (9-23-09).. I bet the feeling is even more overwhelming on your part, being a new daddy.
You’ll be taking so many nice pictures of little zoei ^_^ Thanks for sharing the first ones with us.
